Thank you Chris for all your posts this year. I keep thinking they’ve gone but then we see them still entering nests and last night there were 5 or 6 still flying and screaming over the Laverdene estate. Totley Swift Group has had a good year with our new swift brick project. We’ve been prioritising houses that already have natural nests, surveying them accurately before fitting bricks over the Autumn. Having a lot of success getting people to have bricks installed generally.

I keep thinking about a swift poetry night at our library but having to be careful how much I take in due to caring duties here. If we do it, I’d love you to come! X

They've been fairly active in the skies north of Holme Lane this week: a dozen sighted on Wednesday evening, a score the following morning, perhaps four or five at 7am today.
